WHAT'S ON...

There's usually something happening in and around the Parish - but as always new ideas for events / groups are very welcome...

Sunday School

This is an opportunity for children up to secondary school age to learn more about the Christian faith.  This is done in a way that is colourful and fun, using lots of visual aids and fun games. The Sunday school is run by a number of ladies in the parish, who generously give of their time and energy for this important work. The classes take place during all services apart from the fourth Sunday in the month which is a specially designed “all-age” service.

"W4"

Stands for "Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness".  We meet on Sunday evenings in the parish Centre, Carrigtwohill.  It is an opportunity to meet new people, to ask questions about the Bible and to sing and pray together. We meet to build up and encourage each other in our relationship with God in a way that is meaningful and relevant for our lives every day of the week, not just on Sundays!

Mothers’ Union

Is a well known organisation (not just for mothers!), that are involved in all aspects of parish life and beyond. They have regular meetings and are especially involved and concerned with supporting family life and helping / visiting those who could use their support.

Badminton & Table Tennis

This meets in St. David’s Parish Centre in Carrigtwohill on Monday evenings from 8.00 pm and on Tuesday mornings from 11.00 am and is open to everyone. This is a fun time to meet up with others of all different ages and abilities - and who knows it might help a bit with the fitness levels too!

Cobh Genealogical Project

This is an excellent service for those wishing to trace ancestry through the old parish records. For more information, please contact Cmmdr. Allen Crosbie at mervillecobh@eircom.net

Cobh Mixed National School

Is a two teacher school under the patronage of the parish and children from all backgrounds are welcome. Special assistance is available for a small number of children with special needs.  For more details contact the Head Teacher at  hfitzgerald.ias@eircom.net
